"Frequently Asked Questions"
What is a fixed gear bike?
A fixed gear bike (fixie) is a bicycle with no freewheel mechanism — the pedals are directly connected to the rear rueda. When the rueda turns, the pedals turn too. This gives riders a direct, connected riding experience with better control and feedback. Fixed gear bikes are lighter, simpler, and require less maintenance than traditional geared bikes.
What is the difference between fixed gear and single speed?
A fixed gear bike has no freewheel, so the pedals always move when the rueda moves — you cannot coast. A single speed bike has one gear but includes a freewheel, so you can coast without pedalling. Several of our bikes including the Singularity, Bass-X, and SC-1 come with a flip flop buje, letting you switch between fixed gear and single speed by flipping the rear rueda.

What is a flip flop buje?
A flip flop buje has a fixed piñón on one side and a freewheel thread on the other. By removing the rear rueda and flipping it around, you can switch between fixed gear (no coasting) and single speed (coasting). The SC-1, Bass-X, and Singularity all come with flip flop hubs.
What does 4130 chromoly mean?
4130 chromoly is a type of acero alloy containing chromium and molybdenum. It is stronger and lighter than standard acero, making it the preferred choice for bike frames that need to be tough and duradero. Our SC-1 uses 4130 chromoly for a marco that absorbs road vibration naturally and will last for years.
What is 6066-T6 aluminio?
6066-T6 is a high-grade aluminio alloy that is heat-treated for extra strength and hardness. It is lighter and stiffer than acero, making it ideal for rendimiento-oriented fixed gear frames. Our Singularity, Bass-X, and LV3 all use 6066-T6 aluminio frames.
